Cancer Horoscope for March 2012

As a Cancer, you are a steadfast person, and always careful to fulfill your
responsibilities to others. Somewhere on the bottom of your list, assuming
you can find the time, you indulge in a little leisure fun. Over the past
year or two, those hours of enjoyment have become increasingly limited. The
good news is that in the first half of March, the universe will make a
correction for you and heap on you good fortune from many areas, including
leisure time with friends. Early March would be ideal for a vacation or
weekend away, or for a trip that combines business and pleasure. A new
setting will do you a world of good, so see if that is possible.
This month's sky pattern is so lyrical and enchanting, it's remarkable. Not
since June 2004 have we seen such a glowing pattern of planets in the sky as
we will in early March. Prior to that, we would have to go back much
farther in time to find a somewhat similar pattern, to March 1967. Indeed,
rare and positive aspects are ones we tend to notice! You will be able to
enjoy more "me" time again, something you sorely need. You will breathe
again, too, and have time to rediscover some of the joys of life that you
used to indulge in that you had to put aside for lack of time or money. You
will now likely add new interests, too - this phase may change your outlook
for the better in the weeks and months to come.
Some planetary configurations have a lasting effect on us. Some difficult
aspects leave temporary scars and others more lasting, indelible ones.
Others have the opposite effect, with the power to uplift us, restore our
confidence, and leave us feeling renewed, rejuvenated, and appreciated. This
month's planets will bring on the latter - just the kind of positive
feelings that have been a bit scarce lately, dear Cancer. You will feel
strong support around you from friends and family, and the power of that
support will invigorate you. The residual effect will not be for a day or a
week, but for many weeks, and possibly for months.
As March opens, there are four planets in earth signs, all due to be in
perfect harmony with each other by the full moon March 8 to 13, and they
include Venus and Jupiter (both planets in Taurus), Mars (in Virgo), and
Pluto (in Capricorn). All will be traveling straight to very specific
mathematical spots in the sky, and in so doing will create a supreme golden
triangle pattern. They will create their rare formation on March 12-13, but
the mounting energy of these planets will be evident by the full moon four
days earlier on March 8.
A "grand trine" like this, encompassing three or more planets, is the very
best formation you can ever hope to have, and here you have four planets
contributing their gifts, all in earth signs that blend perfectly with your
Cancer water sign element. Water and earth create verdant foliage, flora,
flowers, profuse vegetation, shrubbery, and trees - it's a fertile mix. As
said, you will notice the harmony of these planets as early as the full moon
in Virgo, 18 degrees, on March 8. Mark that date!
As a Cancer, the moon rules your sign, and that makes this aspect even
bigger and brighter for you. Because this full moon will be focused on your
third house of travel, you may go to a nearby city near March 8, most likely
for your work, but as said earlier, you may go for any reason. Mercury will
be conjunct Uranus at this full moon, so whatever work-related trip you
would need to take would come up suddenly. Even if the trip is for business,
it is clear there will be many opportunities to enjoy yourself at this
location. By the way, this city or town seems to be a "10" on many counts.
Your third house rules not only travel but also contracts, so you may be
negotiating a deal or attempting to make a sale. Mars is in the same third
house as the full moon, so Mars will be in the right position to speak to
Jupiter, Venus, and Pluto. He is currently retrograde, but not for long,
only a few more weeks. Once Mars strengthens his orbit by moving direct on
April 13, he will soon be in fine form again and your deals will go better
in mid-to-late April.
If you were working on a deal now, you would do best to stage talks but not
sign it yet. If I had my choice, I would ask you to wait a little longer, to
the gorgeous new moon of April 27. Some paperwork can't be put off that
long. Here is where I drop the other shoe: There is another reason I need
you to wait. I will digress from discussion of the golden triangle of
beautiful planets for a moment to tell you why you need to be patient.
Mercury is about to go retrograde from March 12 to April 4, and Mercury will
slow your talks. Keep in mind, however, that delays will benefit you. The
fact that Mercury will retrograde in Aries, in your solar tenth house of
fame, tells me that you will be almost forced to move at a more leisurely
pace in terms of professional affairs, and it would not be wise to try to
fight this. Go with the rhythm you find, and don't press for answers.
Everyone will be feeling the same energy, so you won't be alone. I agree, it
's a shame that Mercury will cause delays just as the four planets are
moving into perfect formation, but I doubt you will lose anything in the
retrograde. You simply need to nurture what is happening and not expect a
quick, instant result - everything will come to you in time.
This is why I want you to be decisive at the full moon, March 8, and not let
things go into the following week, because you will be caught in the web of
Mercury retrograde. If you can't crystallize your goals now, table them
until April, and ideally, the new moon April 27.
In the Taurus corner, you will have Venus and Jupiter holding hands very
closely in your eleventh house of hopes and wishes. This same area of your
chart rules friendships and new contacts, and this will represent an
important area of exciting growth. When you mix and mingle, open your mind
to new ideas and interests.
With such a remarkably glowing eleventh house, you may also want to consider
joining a club this month, and if so, it's the time to do so. The
organization may be professional or social - either or both would benefit
you now. Chances are, you'd need a friend to write a reference or
introduction for you, so be sure to call your friend immediately as soon as
March begins to get the process started.
Venus has still another bonus for you - it involves your home and family
situation. Cancers have had to make great sacrifices for a family member or
in the course of dealing with a real estate matter lately. This month, with
Venus RULING your fourth house of home, family, and real estate, you may see
a way to alleviate the stress and improve the situation. A friend or co-
worker may be instrumental in helping you find that solution, or you may
tinker with the situation by yourself and be stunned to see your new idea
work. Explore new options in the first week.
Venus is the natural ruler of your solar eleventh house of friends, and
being IN your eleventh house now, Venus will have special strength and
dignity and be in an even better position to help you. The fact that Jupiter
, giver of gifts and luck, will ALSO orbit in this same house, within five
tiny degrees of Venus, means Venus will quadruple her benefits to you -
socializing for fun and friendship, romance, and even help for your career.
It looks like one friend of yours in particular will go the distance to help
you in early March, and this person will be better for you than any
professional you could ever hire. (When it comes to such issues as health or
financial management, a professional would be necessary of course, but your
friend could point you to several trusted professionals you might want to
check out.) The eleventh house link to hopes and wishes also indicates a
dream dear to you may be much closer to reaching fruition than you might
assume. All these things will be apparent in the early part of March.
This would be a perfect time to become active in social networks, or if you
are, then to become more involved. Investigate this not only for social
reasons, but also for business reasons too, whether you are self-employed or
not. There are areas to explore, such as Twitter, Foursquare, YouTube,
Facebook, Linkedin, and other emerging social media.
If you are self-employed, the eleventh house is considered an area of profit
that is derived directly from the efforts you put into your business
previously. If you work for yourself, this means you should soon start to
see profits this month, and more in May. Mars in your third house suggests
you may want to draw up an advertising or publicity campaign soon to bring
in even more business - launch it at the end of April.
Jupiter and Pluto will be in precise communication on March 12, making that
day one of the strongest of the year, one of my favorite days, worth five
stars! You will feel the energy of this day as soon as March 8. Due to
Mercury retrograde starting March 12, however, I would like you to move on
any decisions or commitments on March 8 or 9, no later. Pluto is currently
based in your seventh house, and is beautifully aligned, so a middleman,
business partner, spouse, agent, lawyer, publicist, or individuals you are
doing a joint venture will bring you your good fortune.
The seventh house also rules your adversaries, too, as odd as that may sound
. (Yes, the seventh house indicates both the people who are with you and
those who are against you, but a trained astrologer can tell which is which
by looking at the aspects. There is no need to meditate about this - I will
always tell you what I see.) The fact that Pluto will form one of the three
legs of the golden triangle and be so outstandingly supportive tells me that
if you are in a dispute with someone, say, in court, you may be able to
settle with that person now, at the full moon, March 8, plus or minus four
days.
As you get to the new moon, March 22, your career will be bright and you
will need to be back from any traveling you may be doing this month. This
new moon, arriving in the entrepreneurial sign of Aries, will open an
exciting path to opportunity. If you are looking for a way to increase your
status in your industry by trading up to a better position, this new moon
will be for you. It will be the best one of the year for you! If you have
been unemployed, you will also find gratifying opportunity in the two weeks
to follow. Your best chances for success, however, will occur in the days
that closely follow March 22.
Don't be impulsive however, as Uranus will urge you to want to jump in with
both feet without doing due diligence. This is one of the dangers of high-
key Uranus-in-Aries energy, but in this case, Mercury retrograde may
actually help you!
