This appears to be a really good price with about the cheapest from a
reputable place being $60 or so. Retail is $100 on this shoe (I don't know
where REI got that $54 price). And as a higher end running shoe, it did sell
for that at one point. Yes, the Supernova Glide 3 has recently come out
which is why the Glide 2 is being found for less.

Yes, there are only a handful of sizes, but they had my 10.5 and several
other reasonably common sizes, so I thought worth a post.
I tried one zip code and got $6.00 shipping. Even up to $10 or so would be a
good deal. I was able to use free to store shipping, but I believe that is
for REI members only.
As a running shoe, the Adidas Supernova Glide 2 is well reviewed. It is in
the neutral/cushioned category. Meaning it is generally for heavier and/or
high arch runners who may also slightly run on the outside edge of their
shoes. Obviously it is discouraged to buy a running shoe you are not
familiar with without trying on and/or testing. However, if you want to try
it, you can return things bought at REI.COM to their store (thus saving
shipping). And REI has an outstanding reputation for customer service, so I
doubt you would have issues on a return.

While maybe overkill, at this price, as a cushioned shoe, it would likely be
a good choice for a non-runner who is on their feet a lot. Or even if your
walker or even perhaps general gym shoe.
From a personal standpoint, I have about 500 miles on my Adidas Supernova
Glides (1). I love them. I've been looking for new running shoes this week
and bought and returned a pair of Nike Pegasus+ 27 (rubbed the top of my
toes) and Asics Gel (somethings) that literally hurt the ball of my left
foot while my heal slipped on the right. So I'm going back to the Adidas,
that I love! and fit me well! Any runner will tell you of course that each
person is different so YMMV on if these are the right running shoes for you.
But again, at this price, might be worth a shot and even if not a good
running shoe for you, you might want to keep as a good comfortable "jeans
shoe" or something.
