需要做的事情。很多时候我会发现些小错误,有些是keying error,有些是因为没彻底
明白该怎么做。那些小错误经常是我发现的时候就顺手花个一两分钟(甚至更少)改正
了,因为很多时候我急着用这些数据完成我的下一步工作。如果改正需要一定的时间,
我会返回给手下告诉她如何改正。
如果我自己改正了那些错误,事后有必要告诉手下吗?感觉说了,手下会不会觉得都我
自己都改正了还来专门告诉她这个小错误是不是显得有点吹毛求疵?不说的话又怕她觉
得什么都做得很好,不会想着下次更仔细点。
而且我觉得不管多小的错误,被指出来的时候对方都会很尴尬,总想要解释一番。更有
甚者,我从前遇到过特敏感的人,其反应之激动程度让我感觉指出她的错误实在是我犯
了个错误。
也许有人会质疑我指出别人错误时的方式和语气,其实我从用词到语气都非常注意的,
通常我都是在交代对方其他什么事的时候顺便提起,并且告诉她我从前也犯过类似的错
误,还有如何可以防止这种错误再次发生。但很多时候还是让我觉得不如不说(要对方
花时间改正的除外)。
请问大家工作中遇到这种情况通常是怎么处理的?我这里说的是自己的手下。如果是与
自己平级的同事或别的部门的同事,最好又该怎么处理呢? |

peeves - data accuracy and nicely structured/ formatted ppt decks. :)

I told the same person a couple times that as an accountant, I would always
like to have the numbers formatted to two digits after the decimal point.
She would do it, but then a while later she would forget. Now I just give up
as long as the numbers are correct.

repeat the errors - it goes into their reviews. they will not take it
seriously unless they know there are consequences.

J******e 发帖数: 585 | 5 Depends on how busy you are. When I am busy, I normally tell them what's
wrong and need to correct. I don't change for them. If I am not busy, I
change for them, then let them know they did wrong but I have changed for
them. Most time they showed appreciation. |

Most people do not want to do more work than they have to. If they can get
away with it, they will do less and less. |

do, usually I catch those mistakes myself, even when I was an entry level
staff.
Maybe a couple times a year, my boss will point out that I have made a
mistake while I explain my work, right at the spot. I don't even remember
there was ever once that they came to me and told me that I had made a
mistake somewhere. Instead, it would be me to tell them that I have made a
mistake and I need to correct what I have given to them.
I know I should point out those mistakes, but sometimes I am wondering
should I do it eash time, especially after I have corrected it while I
reviewed the work (since at that moment, either I didn't have time to take
it back to the person made the mistake, or that person was not around/busy
with something else).

也可以让他知道这是个根本上的问题,不只是 case by case correcting mistakes

子才会对你有抵触情绪。
不过人的责任心差异太大了,同一个问题反复说了还不能好转的话,就需要给更明确的
指示,从泛泛地要求给你看之前要自己检查,到spell out具体希望他检查些什么和怎
么检查,create a checklist and ask him to go through each item and document
his effort before he hand something to you
