guess the easiest way is to back up data first, then format the drive to
FAT32 then copy data back -- maybe the easiet and safest way.

We can use partition magic to boot the computer without any system.
Or we can use Linux boot disk. Windows boot disk is bad, don't use it.
Then we can use partition magic or fdisk ( the one of Linux, not the
one of DOS/Windows ) to partition, convert, format, etc.
Please note that fdisk of Linux supports writing on the MBR, and the
disk data structure directly. So if you don't know much about how
file system works, don't touch it.
