Dear All,
Wootton cluster has a once every 3 years meeting with the board on 2/21.
Please forward the following survey to our cluster parents ASSP. Our cluster
representatives need to have the numbers by 2/16. Here is the link. Thanks!

(You have to highlight first and Ctrl+click to access the link)
We’ve heard that parents in our cluster were not active in involvement of
the new curriculum. I hope more parents of our cluster would show up in the
meeting to support our delegates. The meeting is on 2/21 from 7:00pm to 9:
00 at Wootton HS.

Tony/Vivian,
I am not in Wooton Cluster. However, I've taken a little time to go over
the survey. Overall, it seems fine. However, there seem a couple of items
that can be improved.
2. How knowledgeable are you about Curriculum 2.0?Click all that apply
•know just a little
•know a fair amount
•know a lot
•somewhat of an expert, parents come to me with questions
Comment: Is it possible to change it to checkbox (multi choices)?
Candidates are
- Common core state standard
- Report card and assessment scale with ES/P/I/N or P/I/N
- Grouping scheme: homogeneous grouping and heterogeneous grouping
- Equity access philosophy.
- UCARE proficiency.
- Teacher development.
- Courses offered at each grade.
- ... feel free to add more
In this way, parents who take the survey can actually learn the basic scope
of Curricum 2.0.
4. Overall, do you believe that 2.0 is meeting your child's academic needs?&
#8226;my child is underperforming, not learning as much
•my child is performing better, learning more than I expect
•my child is doing about the same and learning at an appropriate
level
•too early to tell
Comment: The experience may differ in subjects. Maybe, the options can be
rephrased to "For one or more subjects, my child is underperforming, not
learning as much. " Moreover, given the earlier petition on math, is it
possible to add one more option "For one or more subjects, my child is not
learning due to the content is significantly above or below the level of my
child. "
