The Administration trotted out a new and congenial face to promote their
Middle East policy. United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice went on TV to tell
us that the attack on our embassy was not premeditated and that all the
fuss abroad is merely the result of a objectionable film. "Reprehensible" is
the operative term from the White House.
Libya's president and others have suggested the attack that killed four
was in the works for months and played out against the background of
alleged outrage over the video. The ambassador then suggested there was good
security in Benghazi but that unfortunately to security workers were among
those killed.
Too bad there is not an opponent who can capitalize on US foreign
policy in the Presidential race.
Some of the answers from Ms. Rice were a little hard to swallow...
Especially when she said "America is quite well liked in Libya."
