按语：在我跟摩门教接触的几个月时间，在问题讨论中，和所涉及的文章里面，从来没
有听过他们抨击其他的教派，反倒时常以赞美的口吻说其他教派里面有很多虔信基督的
人们，他们按照自己的理解崇拜神。尽管摩门诚心相信耶稣的教会由于使徒们死后大叛
道的发生（正如圣经已经预言到这事一定发生，历史也是充分显示了这一点）由约瑟史
密斯先知将耶稣的教会在地上重新恢复了，但是这样的信仰丝毫没有减低他们对其他信
仰客观的评价和尊重----我本人非常欣赏和赞同这一态度。
下面转载的文章，介绍这一信仰的背后的动因，摩门如何看待宗教信仰的自由。当遇到
某些信仰组成观点不一致的时候，他们的态度。 |

Surprised to hear that Mormons support religious freedom? Take a closer look
at freedom of religion in the Book of Mormon and LDS church leaders on the
U.S. Constitution.
Mormons are proud of their rich history dating back to the formation of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1830. One of the tenets that

Support for religious tolerance can be found not only in the Articles of
Faith, but in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is a Latter-day Saint
scripture following the account of ancient inhabitants of the American
continent.
According to Alma 30: 7-11, their government in about 74 B.C. had "no law
against a man's belief; for it was strictly contrary to the commands of God"

In the 1913 book Articles of Faith, church leader James E. Talmage explained
that "the Latter-day Saints accept as inspired the constitutional provision
by which religious liberty within our own nation [America] is professedly
guarded, that no law shall ever be made 'respecting an establishment of
religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof'."

究其神学背后的这一信仰成因，由于摩门教揭示现在凡是在地上出生的人，其前身的灵
在还没有来到这个世界的时候，是没有跟随撒旦的反叛，而是支持耶稣当初提出的拯救
人类计划的。更重要的一点，就是人有选择的自由---自由意志。（在相反的撒旦提出
的计划里面，人的自由意志将被剥夺）

摩门教看待所有人，不论什么人，信基督抑或不信，一律看做上帝的儿女。基于对人类
同胞的爱，摩门教坚信审判和传道随着千禧年的开始还会持续下去，直到千禧年的完了
的大审判。所以对人的看法是期待的，有盼望的，包容性很强的，不仅仅包括这个世代，
也包含千禧年时期，在耶稣基督的指引下，更大的普世救赎即将开展。这样的教义，就
不会有在目前这个世代里，对任何人施予任何论断的主张---为时还过早。
