from top professionals. If you were ever watching tennis live at courtside,
you would understand what I am talking about. The pace, placement, angles,
spins of their serves, I don't think we have any chances.
I used to play with a solid 4.5 guy who was a division II player. He once
told me that Lendl was once at their school's practice facilities, and his
school team was so excited to get a chance to hit with Lendl. At on | n***e 发帖数: 461 | 2 thanks for the disilluioning. haha. without siting at federal's back (not

The first set was a little close, then Federer basically toyed with the poor
guy in the 2nd and 3rd set.
Did you stay for the Youzhny/Nadal match right after Federer's. That was the
best match I watched that day.
I posted this on another forum about that Federer match on that day.

| n*********4 发帖数: 83 | 4 Yes, that was a day match. Federer was originally scheduled to play in Ashe,
thanks to the rain delay, we were lucky to watch him in Armstrong.
Yes, I remembered Federer toyed with the French guy. Everytime the French
guy felt a little hope, Federer would hit an amazing shot, an ace, or a
serve and volley play.
Youzhny played really well that day. After he defeated Nadal, 1 hour later,
he went back out to the next court(grand stand)with a Czhech guy to beat The
Bryant Brothers in doubles. It was | b*e 发帖数: 3845 | 5 When a tough driving slice is coming to one's backhand, if you want to hit a
SHBH topspin back, there are two important tips.
1) bend your knees just like Federer do (we may not be able to learn how he
kept his balance using his left toes, but we can still bend the knees so
that our racquet could be dropped naturally lower than the incoming slice)
2) Swing early, hit in the front. A driving slice can totally disrupt your
comfort zone. You have to swing early and take advantage of the power from | n***e 发帖数: 461 | 6 the problem with amateurs is that they may know in their head all the tricks
of a game (you can cram all the tennis teaching DVD's or online tips,
whatever)- but they just can't execute them - lack of time/play/conditioning
/talent/etc. "eyes look high, but hand is low" ;) so the skill tips may be
helpful only to the extent that one can incorporate it in his game. |
