Obviously you have wasted your time living in US.
The burden of prrof is on the nation, prosecutors. Not the defendants or
suspects (as Pres. Chen Shui-bian is). That is why China's judicial system
is a joke, where the defendant or a suspect has to prove his INNOCENCE.
One can not prove negative. can you prove existence of lack of existence of
God?

we can kill anyone we don't like in name of the law, which forces people to
behave cautiously, to comply to the majority's expectation, and forget about
playing tricks with the law
It supports the power and rights of the majority, not just the ones who can
hire good lawyers. It's the true spirit of democracy which has been
forgotten in western countries but inherited by China.
