As a major advertiser, we recognize the possibility that some viewers will
disagree with the programming decisions that the networks make. With that
being said, Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light does not get involved in the

11/4/2013 update 我今天已经收到P&G North America的回复说要在公司里面考虑这个
事情了。 虽然不确保肯定会有结果,但是至少这个方式让赞助商能够衡量一下是否继
续在ABC打广告是最好的选择。
Charles Schwab也回信说要discuss with marking feedback group了。原文“I did
forward this information to our Marketing Feedback group. I can understand
how this could be upsetting. Please know that Charles Schwab would never
actively endorse such matter.” 我理解这不能说明一定会有所行动,但是至少是一
个好的开始。

In lieu of recent Jimmy Kimmel show scandal of promoting racial killing
among small children, we urge your company to reconsider your sponsorship
with the Jimmy Kimmel Show and ABC.
The racial killing statement, although presented by a child, is clearly
scripted by the show’s writers. The show was recorded in the afternoon,
hours before it was aired. There is no excuse for ABC trying to shift the
blame to a child.
No matter which side you are on the issue, the fact is that this incident
has created an outrage among Asian communities. By simply being associated
with the show and ABC, it could greatly damage your brand image among your
potential customers, even long after this event. As a matter of fact, in the
coming weeks, there will be widespread coordinated boycott of Jimmy Kimmel
show and those sponsors continue to sponsor the show and ABC.
We are not asking you to support us or even agree with us. We respect your
own judgment. However, we are asking you to reconsider where you can best
spend your advertising dollars to bring you most value for your business.
From investment point of view, at this moment, it is too huge a risk for you
to associate your brand with such a show, to say the least, is not
politically correct. There are other advertising venues and other late night
talk shows for you to advertise your product equally well. We wish the
best for your business and hope you will consider our recommendation and
make the wise choice for your business.

I respectfully follow up on my previous request for your company to
reconsider your sponsorship to ABC network and Jimmy Kimmel Show.
I would like to bring to your attention some new development to this story
that a petition calling for investigating the show has gathered more than
100k signatures within only 3 weeks and now is pending White House response.
At the meantime, a national wide protest has been schedule this Saturday (
Nov 9th) in 20+ cities across US this against ABC network and Jimmy Kimmel
show. The expected turnout is more 10k people. Furthermore, the Jimmy
Kimmel scandal has been reported in China major media and has drawn huge
outrage among Chinese in China.
As a customer or potential customer for your company, I believe it is
unfairfor your company to be punished for mistake made by ABC network and
Jimmy Kimmel. Should there be a boycott, you will not want your company to
be caught in the crossfire. As a customer paying huge advertising dollar to
ABC network, you deserve to know that ABC is doing everything they can to
make sure your advertising dollar is not buying you any negative publicity.
Again, no matter which side you are on this issue, I urge you to review
yoursponsorship with ABC network and make appropriate adjustment to protect
your own interest.
