我的理解是不是把原来客户自己SERVICER上做的东西， 挪到网上做了？ 这样可以省客
户的SERVER的钱？

software/space/cooling, etc.). If they need any service, get it from the
internet (somewhere in the cloud).
pros: save money, worry-free
cons: security, 100% dependency on network connections (point of failure) |

麻烦。 但等到后来，随着电厂和电网的建设，大家都直接连个线用电了。

发帖数: 405 | 11 好多地方恐怖分子一炸都会天下大乱：华尔街啊，三峡大坝啊，中南海啊，之类的。说
到异地容灾，云还是比自己手上的小硬盘好多了。起码重要数据可以加州来一份，西伯
利亚来一份。到时候加州爆了核弹，人死了数据都还有备份。
再说如果真有私密数据（比如用户认证信息之类的）还是可以放在自己企业的局域网里
，然后让云把这方面的请求forward过来就可以了，貌似Azure的ServiceBus就可以做这
个。

an earth quake in one of the data center and destroyed all your data, you
will be able to get it all recovered from another location.
You can use cloud service to do many things. To store data, and/or to
compute, and/or to host service. There are many advantages including very
scalable, maintenance free and charge by usage. I think scalable part is a
big win. |

way to physically go to the server and get the data. It's not true for the
"cloud".
