the reception and call drop rate for iphone4? AAPL missed the point entirely
and lost users' trust through such manipulation of bars display. if it were
not on AP, i would simply dismiss this article as some joke. very
disappointed.

Cupping iPhone 4 will reduce the signal strength by 24dB, which covers the
range from the low end of 5 bars all the way to no signal. But the range of
5 bars alone covers 40dB.
Of course, this is no excuse for dropping 24dB. |

The release of this annoucement is totally a bullshit to beat around. It
will be a disaster for processing PR crisis like this way.
From the announcement, we can see that Apple claims the following again (
from the 1st iPhone):
1. Apple does not have any design issue with iPhon 4
2. It is the AT&T's problem again.
What a sad thing to us!

Just 1 question. Why the reviewer would not post the ideal reception dbm
data (with no human hand interference)? He said it's because it is ideal
case, and I don't get him. Given it's ideal case, it will definitely prove
or disprove if iphone4 is truly better in terms of antenna design comparing
to other brands or its predecessor, but he did not want to show it in
absolute dbm.
The rest sensitivity improvement on iphone4 only shows that this time they
pick a much better RF-analog/b
