1. Position Specification:
Postdoctoral fellows at HIT Shenzhen Graduate School play a crucial role in
research, teaching and learning activities across the entire academic
landscape.
Position Qualifications: Applicants should have a PhD degree from world-
class universities in micro- & nano- photonics or a related area. Experience
in plasmonics, silicon photonics, numerical simulation, nanofabrication, or
optical characterization will be an advantage. The applicant must be
strongly motivated, able to work independently and perform critical thinking
and analysis. The applicant must have a good command of English, in writing
and speaking, so that he/she is able to present research results.
Duties & Responsibilities: The fellowship is a two-year, full-time
commitment. The successful candidate (i) must be committed to excellence in
research; (ii) collaborates with faculties on interdisciplinary
methodological and applied research; (iii) works with faculties to pursue
external funding for additional research projects.
2. Salary Range:
Commensurate with rank and experience, average level: 32000.00USD dollar per
annum after tax.
3. Benefits:
i) Insurance and Fund: the medical insurance, endowment insurance,
unemployment insurance, work injury insurance and housing fund will be
provided for postdoctoral fellows;
ii) The university can afford subsidized apartments for rent (200—250 USD
dollar per month, about 1/3 of the off-campus apartment）.
iii) Others: various benefits from local governments will be eligible for
postdoctoral fellows.
ⅳ)Extending the contract and promotion to a tenure-track position is
possible.
