JOB TITLE
SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
POSITION SUMMARY
Designs, develops, builds, tests, maintains, and supports software systems
for web and mobile platforms.
PRIMARY DUTIES
•With direction, develop software according to requirements, using
good programming practices and in conformance with software design patterns
and architectural principles like performance, scalability, maintainability,
etc.
•Perform maintenance and support, interfacing with users to make
analyze problems and provide solutions.
•Provide input into requirements for development, understanding
internal and external customer desires and what is feasible in current and
future systems.
•Research the latest technologies and apply architectural advances.
•Design and execute accurate tests and ensure code is defect free.
•Provide technical advice and training of users of the system by
serving as a focal point for customer queries and designing training
material for staff and customers on new modules or enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related
field.
•At least 5 years' experience in full project lifecycle software
development strongly preferred.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Experience with Java/JEE, strongly preferred.
•Technical knowledge of object-oriented programming and analysis.
•Independent problem-solving skills.
•Technical knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL.
•Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks,
preferred.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS OF
THE WORKPLACE:
•Ability to travel 5% of the time.
•Ability to work for long periods at a computer/desk.
