我的背景是化学博士，现在一家做外包的小公司。最近一直在联系大药厂的工作机会。
长远考虑我想回国担任team-leader/director类型的职位，感觉在美国大公司的工作经
验对回国工作很有帮助.
现在有两个很有希望的机会，都是在NJ。职能也比较近似。想请教一下，这两个公司哪
一个更稳定／前景更好？这里药厂工作的达人很多，有什么内部消息么？
比如Schering-Plough前一段时间貌似很不好，现在又开始招人，是不是情势好转了？
还有就是Novartis的话，他们在上海附近有分部，如果去他们公司工作，从美国本土转
到国内工作的希望大么？ |

Do you have both offers in your hand? If so you can compare the money,
benefits and vacation stuff then you will have your answer. |

joined from CRO's. In the meantime some are leaving for CRO's. I just don'
t see boundaries between those two orgs. |

How do you view the pharm in general? any insight on which is safer
relatively?
Pfizer, Merck, Novartis, Roche? etc

seen a med chem scientist from CRO, most med chem new hires are from fresh
postdoc or big pharma.

发帖数: 4595 | 10 i agree changing from CRO to big pharm is not as easy as the other way
around, but in the past 3 or 4 years i know at least three PhD level organic
chemists jumping from my current company to big pharm. they are all chinese
, not sure about non-chinese

different from academia so fresh PhD/postdoc from good groups tend to have
better chances.
but when it comes to some division when experience counts more (say,
chemical development and process), fresh PhDs will have less change than
experienced chemists from CRO/small pharm
