环线，就是先往上AZ-UT-CO-NM-AZ，还是AZ-NM-CO-UT-AZ。
我去过大峡谷，几年4月又去过UT的ZION和Byce Canyon。但是Canyon Lands和Arches都
没去过，我女朋友哪都没去过。因此我很犹豫不知道如何安排线路，犹他景点集中，体
力分配来讲，我想先紧后松，后面就安排NM那片儿relax一点的走，但是又不知道UT和
CO一月份路况如何，如果去了那里积雪或者有冰道路都关闭，就冤枉了。
我租的是wrangler四门，不知道是否足以应付路况。沿途打算resort+汽车旅馆+睡车里
+camping结合，不知道这个季节带四季帐，20F的睡袋够不够，如果不成，我们会带床
鸭绒被。UT和CO如果太冷，就考虑在AZ和NM露营。
12天的行程不知道是否紧了点，有没有西南方的前辈高人指点一下，并且有什么推荐的
线路和景点？
遗憾的是，为了看白沙公园，估计走不了66号公路了。 | u***************r

Mexico. New Mexico is good to go during Christmas holiday: Native Indian
dance, Santa Fe holiday celebration, white sand NM, Bosque...
generally speaking, if you go in the winter, then stay in the south is
better choice, warm, less snow.In the north, it's mountain driving, so when
it's snow, it will make driving not pleasant and sometimes dangerous (such
as San Juan Mountain in CO area. it's their ski season).
You have 11 days, and flexible to sleep in the car, so you can make a
wonderful trip. I went this Christmas for 5 days, and slept in the car. in
the south (Bosque), it's not too cold at night 35 degree. In the north (taos
), it's 25 degree, very cold at night. it's unusual warm last week. but you
should expect snow during Jan in northern part. I have a sleeping bag (15
degree), and need wear extra clothe otherwise it's cold at midnight
especially you need to get up to peep. Your 20 degree bag is ok, take some
extra blanket.
If you like hiking, photography, birding, then couple of places I recommend
1) sedona, sunset at airport road
2) Canyon De chelly, 3pm
3) Chaco Canyon
4) Monument valley sunset
5) Mesa Veder
6) Petrified Forest NP
7) white sand NM sunrise and sunset
8) Petroglyph NM
bandler NM
9) Calsbad Cavern (maybe too far)
10) Santa Fe
11) high road from santa fe to Taos ( stop at Chimayo)
12) Taos Pueblo
13) Acoma (sky city)
14) VLA, very large array
since you are willing to sleep in the car, then you can adjust your schedule
accordingly based on weather.
hopefully you can view this google map.
due to snow/icy road condition, I'd not recommend you explore CO this time,
leave it to fall. for Utah, if you really want to go this time, check out "
Wave" and Antelope canyon. I recommend use 11 days to explore AZ and NM
thoroughly, and explore a lit bit of southern tip of UT and CO.
you certainly can drive some route 66 road, best one is in AZ. such as
Holbrook, AZ.

那里温度除了白沙,都很冷,我估计可能5-10f,而且都有雪,
我用过15F,睡车里都要,穿着羽绒服还是冷,

如果她是第一次户外，这个计划算是tough了，
把trail都走下来就很好，其它方面可以慢慢来。
一次实现四个现代化对她可能too much了，不一定合适。

睡车里和睡帐篷里温度差不了太多
想起前年在wyoming高速边的休息区睡觉，外面0F，车里15F，我只带了一个costco买的
car camping睡袋，用了几年了也不保温，夜里冻醒了若干次，边睡觉边往身上加衣服，
忍到早晨6点实在忍不下去了，开车走人。

薄的抓绒睡袋. 基本上户外温度零下12摄氏度的时候, 在车里睡很暖和; 户外温度-10
左右在帐篷里就觉得有点冷了.
