Liu wins hurdles gold, equals world record

ATHENS, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Liu Xiang of China grabbed the Olympic men's 110 metres hurdles gold medal in a world record-equalling time of 12.91 seconds on Friday.
The 21-year-old from Shanghai also became the first Chinese man to win an Olympic track and field title with a remarkable performance following a shaky start.
