Below is a list of banks, along with what they’ll count as a direct deposit
. This is useful information because a lot of bank sign up bonuses require
you to make direct deposits to receive the sign up bonus. Changing where
your paycheck is deposited can be frustrating and time consuming. We’ve
included the source(s) in brackets next to each method.
Note: If Bluebird or Serve show as working/not working then this will
be the case for Redcard/Redbird as well. They all run on the same platform (

Advance Financial Federal Credit Union (AFFCU)
We don’t have any data points on what will trigger the bonus, but be warned
that the fine print states you must deposit your full pay check. In some
cases credit unions will manually check this (e.g you’ll be required to
show your pay stub).
Anchor Bank
Currently unsure what will trigger the direct deposit requirement. Share

Apple Bank
Currently unsure what will trigger the direct deposit requirement. Share

Avidia Bank
The following count:
• Capital One 360 ACH: 1
Bank Direct
These guys are extremely strict and it seems they do a manual review on all
direct deposits to ensure that they are from an employer. You also need to
be depositing your full paycheck rather than a partial deposit, they check
this by verifying it against your stated yearly income. Source(s): 1
Bank of Maine
We don’t currently know of anything other than a regular employer payment
that will trigger the direct deposit requirement that Bank of Maine requires.
Bank Mutual
