right away. Then he was found to have a tumor about 3.2cm and there was some
tumor cells in the liver blood vessel. Now three doctors have diagnosed on
him and gave two dramatically different treatment options: two of them
recommend the conservative treatment, yet the other one recommend a very big
surgery (the place in gestointestine where the bleeding happend, the spleen

can't tell much with very limited information you provided, the type of
liver cancer and whether is hepatic primary or metastatic would be helpful,
assume he had hepatocellular carcinoma from hep C, and maybe he had upper gi
bleed from either esophageal or gastric varices from portal hypertension
from cirrhosis from hep C, the outlook is not very good,
if it's metastatic disease with solitary hepatic mets sometimes they could
consider chemo embolization,

liver cancer.
Here is more info about my dad:
+ He has had chronic heptitis B for 14 years;
+ The liver cancer is of primary type;
+ It has not spread to other major organs,such as lung or stomach;
+ However, it is said some tumor cells are found in the blood vessels,
although I'm not sure which vessels they are refering to. I need to talk to
my mom again about it. According to what I read on some website, the symptom

at this stage the chance of survival is small.
liver transplant is often not possible, as there's long wait
for livers and most liver cancer patients die before one is
available.
it would certainly a big decision. for older people, being
conservative and focus on relieving pains probably is a

really agree with above, it takes a long time to get a donor as far as
transplant is concerned, and if there is metastatic disease, often
transplant will not be considered,
not sure what you meant by tumor cells in blood vessels, not an expert on it
or anything else, but does the patient have cirrhosis and ascites? seems
most of hepatocellular carcinoma from either hep b or c is from chronic,
patient with cirrhosis will have congestion through diseased liver thus
blood flow filtering through li

pre=transplant treatment. it is very helpful for patients of cirrhosis with
acites.
