JUNE
Start researching programs of interest. You can go to the ACGME website for
program information or search the AMA's FREIDA Online® and view the
AAMC's list of ERAS participating specialties and programs.
Review the eligibility requirements for participating in ERAS, the NRMP
Match, and for U.S. state medical licensure.
JUNE 20
Residency Tokens are expected to become available. Obtain your ERAS Token in
the ERAS Support Services section of ECFMG’s OASIS or the MyECFMG mobile
app.
Register with your Token at AAMC’s MyERAS website. Once you have registered
, start submitting your supporting documents. See Submission At-a-Glance for
information on methods for submitting ERAS documents and the associated
processing times.
Start approaching your letter writers to secure letters of recommendation;
documents should be uploaded no later than September 7 in order to be
transmitted to programs on September 15.
JULY 31
Deadline for applicants to Emergency Medicine programs to complete the AAMC
’s Standardized Video Interview.
SEPTEMBER 6
At 9:00 a.m., Eastern Time in the United States, on September 6, you can
start using the MyERAS website to transmit your MyERAS application,
supporting documents, and Personal Statement(s) to residency programs.
Programs will not have access to applications until September 15 at 9:00 a.m
., Eastern Time in the United States. All applications submitted September 6
through September 15 will appear to programs as being submitted on
September 15. ERAS Support Services at ECFMG highly recommends that you
submit all of your supporting documents no later than September 1 to
guarantee their availability on September 15 when programs begin accessing
applications.
SEPTEMBER 15
Registration for the National Resident Matching Program® (NRMP®),
or “the Match,” opens at 12:00 p.m., Eastern Time in the United States, on
the NRMP website. Register now!
SEPTEMBER 22
ERAS Support Services strongly recommends that Medical Student Performance
Evaluations (MSPEs) be submitted by applicants via ECFMG’s OASIS no later
than September 22 in order to be transmitted to programs on October 1.
Documents submitted by medical schools via the ECFMG Medical School Web
Portal (EMSWP) will be processed and transmitted within two business days.
OCTOBER 1
MSPEs are released to programs by ERAS.
NOVEMBER 30
NRMP Match standard registration deadline. (You may register after this
deadline, but you will be required to pay an additional late registration
fee to the NRMP.)

FEBRUARY 21
NRMP Match registration and rank order list certification deadline at 9:00 p
.m., Eastern Time in the United States.
MARCH 12
Match week begins.
MARCH 16
Match day.
MAY 31
ERAS application closes, ending current ERAS season.
JULY 1
Residency training begins.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Dates are subject to change. You should verify all dates
directly with the appropriate organization. For detailed information, refer
to the NRMP Main Match Schedule and the AAMC Timeline - Residency Applicants.
Fees
There are fees associated with the services provided by ECFMG, AAMC, and
NRMP. You must ensure that you satisfy all fee requirements; otherwise, a
hold may be placed on your ERAS application and NRMP activities, and ECFMG
will not process your requests.
