部＂会议，赶紧过来发发感慨。
我所在的是一个社区性质的program， 以往的惯例是prematch几乎一半。 今年换了一
位雄心勃勃的PD,只prematch了一个位置， 一个印度女孩。她的step1, step2也就high
80, 但是她在我们这里见习了一个月，给PD的印象非常好，似乎是个很聪明的人，和
别人也和得来。剩下的名额就全部打算match。
ranking meeting 是attending 们已经根据硬指标排好名，我们，包括attending,
residents,nurses,secretaries 先从list里挑出坚决不要的，再把剩下的人分成up
one third, middle one third, lower one third.最后再排基本名次。
作为PGY1，我没有机会见过所有人，大部分时间是听faculty, senior们议论。同时想
去年不知他们怎么议论的我。

每个人面试时间虽然不长，实际上还是能看到很多内在的东西。我们这里每年RANK的情

In this process, there is no such a thing as 公平公正.
A PD has absolute power to decide who he wants. He can find millions of reasons to reject one person and you will never find out what's the real reason. For PDs, they only choose candidates they think will fit their programs and scores, or background might be just a part of it. With all these years experience, they have very good sense if this person will do well in this particular environment. Their rejection does not mean yo | f****b

business. Sh/e picks candidates like make a NBA team. Sh/e need different people with unique talent and skill to make roles. As regarding policy of biger enviroment, it is easy to have conflict with. Those information should be considered not only confidential but also must.
但是一定要指出的，麦地是一个以中国人为主的小的社区，
对于LZ 提供的这中信息，LZ是冒着很大风险。我们如何保护
LZ 这样的中国人是麦地应该今后加以讨论的，团结在一起，
提高我们的斗志，记住老刀的教导，
