i suspect this lucky guy may have to shift to do non-mechanical job back
china.
doing "pure" mechanical job, it's almost impossible to earn that much.

or some industrial engineering stuff which is often a part of ME in China.
Actually, most ME PhDs from my school(Rolla) here are doing computer related
jobs, hehe.
