Looks like you are finding all the sub-contractor yourself for flooring,
paint, etc. So why do you hire a general contractor for, you can just be
general contractor yourself.
This the slow winter season for most contractor and sub-contractors, you
should be able to find plenty of spanish speaking workers that are willing
to do the job for around $10 to $20 per hour. I hired some v

place, every morning a bunch of them will gether there to look for jobs. You
can also try local paper, craigslist, etc. I have luck finding them at
cheap buffet place during lunch time (you will need to speak a little
spanish). If all fails, you can get them through Amigo dealer, they usually
have 3 kinds ready to go: restaurant type, construction type, other type (
land scaping, cleaning, moving, etc.). I usually try not

large project using them, they did everything including electrical, plumbing
, sheet rock, paint, all new windows and doors, kitchen , new bath room
everything, new roof, paint outside. I got 5 40 foot container filled with
material (including furnitures) and some tools from china. 12 of them for a little over 4 month
working long hours almost 7 days a week. Including a 3,500 sq ft in-law
house and 2 2,800 sq ft guest ho
