Did you try to traceroute to xmark's site? maybe a router died...

3 times, eventually it would work (if the first time failed)
this should not be a network issue, this happened when I was at home and at
work
I guess their host server is not powerful enough or their hosting bandwidth
is not big enough ...

bookmark tenfold!
