面试的职位是：Senior Software Engineer @ CloudFront Security Team
2轮店面，with Hiring Manager + Principle Software Engineer.
当时他们都表现的挺喜欢我的，直接说See you in Seattle.
星期一Onsite， interview with 6 engineers.
我还是觉得自己每一轮都打得很好， 其中有一位工程师，还说他喜欢我的code.
但不知道问什么我还在周六下午，收到了据信。。。 太让我伤心了。。。
我实在想不出原因。。 又查了一下job description:
Amazon Web Services is looking for a senior software engineer to join our
network security systems team. Our projects include massively scaleable
distributed systems that provide inexpensive, reliable, global
infrastructure services. This is an opportunity to join a world class team
and build the network security tools we use to support AWS offerings such as
EC2, S3, CloudFront, and SimpleDB.

我就是一个Fresh PHD, 我没有什么5-10年的工作经验，自己在OOdesign也不是什么
expert.
真地是经验的问题么，从job description上我确实不靠铺，但他们问什么还让我
interview. 可是
我还是觉得自己的onsite的technical questions + coding都打得不错啊，他们也没指
出什么问
题啊，到底哪里出了问题，好痛苦啊，，， |

Amazon开发中用很多自己的东西，所以hiring的时候非常倾向于招internal cadidates
.招新人的话可能ramp up就要几个月时间。可能他们就是找到更合适的人了而已。

这个team刚刚组建，就2人，我的hiring manager大概有20多年的工作经验（我们在
linkedin上
connect的了），另外一名工程师看起来年龄也不小了，他在amazon干了5年多了。。
不知道我的amazon之行是否就此中止了：（

1。 临时性的职位冻结。。。
2。表现虽然很好，面时中的部门头可能觉得个性太强啊，甚至他觉得你技术强，有潜
在的威胁，就找个理由FAIL掉谁。
3。意外的有熟人推荐进来合适的人。。。
所以，JUST MOVE ON，别给自己添堵，GOOD LUCK |

有更强的candidate，譬如那种有工作经验的，出了校门就知道，其实工作经验重要的
多。我最近也在迷惘，那读PhD干嘛呢。 |

你直接应聘个普通的software engineer应该没问题。 |

有太多可能发生的状况导致最后不能要你了，所以没什么值得过于难受的，更加不应该
轻易地看轻自己。BTW，这只是找工作的开始。。。

选早已内定.
做分母的事是经常发生的. 美国人嘴中说出的赞美之词, 有90+%可能是客套话.

我，什么用stack如何实现queue等等，我告诉他，这种题没有意义，因为没人这么做，
stack就是stack，queue就是queue。在现实中，需要就重写，没人吃饱了撑的，干这个
。这种问题都没意义。我在大公司干过，小的也干过，这种问题没意义。你看我的
resume，那些你兴趣，你就问，我不是fresh student，没空回答无聊的问题。然后那
个hiring manager和我说什么就是看看我的背景和兴趣什么的，然后要安排他的senior
guys和我聊，然后我就没完没了地接到他们recruiter的电话和email，我受不了了，
就告诉他们说，我不感兴趣。over!

候选人，很喜欢你但是又不能选你。不要责怪自己，你有能力肯定有更好的位子等着你。
如果是我，我会打电话问问为什么我没有得到这个职位。是以便以后能改进自己，是客
气虚心的那种，不是去问罪。打完电话跟他们说，如果有合适你的位子，别忘了你。

opportunities. Just move on. |

network field), I interviewed with Amazon as well couple years ago, out of
no reason, I didn't get the offer.
Anyway, sometimes, it is bad luck. People there don't like you, so be it.
Just move on, try other companies. |

些公司有时候有点太注重丁点儿的东西，而不考虑整个人的素质啥的。 |
