JBuilder is really smooth and responsive.
The only thing to complain might be the startup time.
But comparing to the hours, days or months spent on programming,
the seconds for starting up an IDE is trivial.
IDEs are written in java because:
1. The IDE can easily run on other platforms
2. Higher productivity. Usually writing programs in Java takes less time than
in C++
