发帖数: 1322 | 3 Yes this is true. Just bring your passport, green card, and the old SSN card.
You can fill the application there.
In our local office if you made an appointment you might checkin faster. But
I walked in anyways.
You can certainly continue using your old card in case you don't want to
waste time going to the SS office. The green card is already your work
authorization from DHS. (BTW yours is INS...this means you obtained this
card way around or before 2003..INS is something that has been converted to
USCIS, CBP, etc)
However, when you use your old SSN card there might be some silly officers
who does not understand things, and might give you trouble. To avoid the
trouble altogher better change to a new card.
