"The EB1B petition is for future employment, so you only need to have the
intention of taking up the job with the sponsoring Employer when the I-485
is approved.
It doesn't matter whether you join from your current employment or another
one you have taken whilst the case is pending.
What you can't do is refuse to join the sponsoring employer when the I-485
is approved because you have found a better job."

EB1A approved without working then, but he had a job offer.
But for EB1B, can it be applied before working for the company? It still
sounds a bit unreasonable.

employment based. As written in the 485 instruction, EVL is a must for all
EB I-485.

"The EB1B petition is for future employment, so you only need to have the
intention of taking up the job with the sponsoring Employer when the I-485
is approved.
It doesn't matter whether you join from your current employment or another
one you have taken whilst the case is pending.
What you can't do is refuse to join the sponsoring employer when the I-485
is approved because you have found a better job."
