currently using Adams Idea 2, regular flex, graphite.
I went to driving range today with my son and found a lost callaway x-22 9
iron with steel shaft. Natually, I tried it before gave it back to starter.
x-22 swing very different from my Adams. This is the first time in my life I
can actually feel club head during swing. To some extend, I feel as if the
club head is leading my arm during the swing. Ball flight is also higher,
maybe longer than Adams idea.
My Adams idea irons is very light, I can't feel the club head at all during
swing.
My driver is Taylormade superquad, but I can't feel the club head neither.
Question to you all: do I suppose to feel club head during swing? Will it

Is that just because they have different swing weight?
Does it help your swing when you feel the club head?
I think every club shop encourage customers to try out different clubs, have
you tried other iron sets, no similar feelings?

发帖数: 10701 | 6 我个人觉得，完全不是站在一个高手的角度，还是个人的喜好问题。
球杆现在都有swing weight这个指标， 看来是因为人和人的差别才弄出了这个指标。
从我一点简单的物理推理来想象，不同的swing weight可能会影响球的trajectory，
当然还有速度和距离，
但对swing 本身可能影响不大 － 当然了，one way or the other.

发帖数: 3067 | 7 yeah, i would agree, 84 is not shabby at all.
I had my experience with different swing weight too. I lost my 8 iron at
some outing. at first, i was thinking to skip 8 iron, since 7 and 9 can
cover the distance anyway. turn out that was a big mistake. After finding a
used (almost new) 8 iron (same MP52) from golfsmith. I realized that club
got different shaft, and other setups. the pro shop told me, that swing
weight is very different and my feeling is different too. Turn out i like
that setup even better, then i switch my own 6 and 7 iron to match with that
8 iron. now my iron shot is much better than before.
i guess he can try few setup, and find out which one he like and stick with
that. any club fitting will help on that.

感觉还可以。
听说铅胶布 （lead tape) 贴在club/head 上 可以改变swing weight. 这可是比换设
备方便。 有人试过吗？ | h******n

The x-22 tour I tried last Sunday has SW(swing weight) of D2 vs Adams A1 SW
of D0. That's probaly the reason why both me and my son can feel the club
head very clearly in x-22. Ball flight from x-22 is very nice, high and
straight. It probably a few yards longer than Adams Idea A1 as well. I love
to be able to feel club head during swing. |
