Bayonet & Blackhorse: 美军基地Camp Ord里头，场地风景俱佳。
Pacific Grove Municipal: 场地短，后九风景堪比Pebble Beach。
Poppy Hills: NCGA的主场， 办过AT&T National Pro Am。球道窄，CART-PATH only,
上午场地也太潮湿。不推荐。

there late (after 11am). Otherwise a perfect drive onto fairway may get
stuck in mud. The guard at the 17-mile Drive entrance may waive your entrance
fee, if you tell him you are going for pre-arranged golf. He seems to have
a list of tee time reservations at Poppy Hills. YMMV.

发帖数: 3067 | 15 Finally I played Poppy Hills, that is only course i played on Monterey bay
so far.
since the weather has been dry for few weeks, the course was dry. i didnt
experience the wet course as you described. There are pros and cons for that.
pros: ball would stay on fairway, instead of being stuck in mud.
cons: the green was super fast. the front 9 would be the fastest green i
putted. the back 9 is fast too, but i guess i already get used to it after
many many 3-putts in the front 9.
i forgot to bring my pull-cart, i chose to use cart instead of walking.
the course condition is almost perfect, and very fun course to play. Later i
learned the course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. And that
explains why the course is mentally challenging. He used alot "protections"
to scare you, and not mention the fast green.
Overall, i played well on back 9, par most of holes. other than one easy
par4 hole, i was not very focus, messed it up.
The front 9 was totally different story. it required high driving accuracy
because of its tree line fairways. Also, as i said, the green was very fast,
you have to bring your "A" putting game. I was almost 3 putts for every
hole, until i chip close for hole #8 within 3 feet, but still i missed the
putt. #9, i chip in within 1 feet. otherwise, i would need 3 putts every
hole. It was very hard to read the line and speed on green.
I highly recommend that course. And for myself, plan to come back for
redemption.

这周去看了下AT&T的比赛，旁边的Spyglass太漂亮了。
