没invited其实都是打酱油的。

You don't have to be top university to be Yip awardee, look at the announced
winners from AFOSR YIP, you will see many are at non-tier one schools.

发帖数: 2353 | 7 还见过夏威夷大学拿这个YIP呢。我觉得名校有优势，但是主要还是你做的东西适合军
方的某个program，非名校拿YIP挺多的。

也不知道他们要公布哪些topic,联系manager时间太短了。中间还夹着圣诞节和元旦。 |

发帖数: 942 | 13 YIP当然是peer review的。我好几个同事都帮他们review过。只不过相对于NSF，
manager的权力稍大些。YIP基本上是DOD最看重peer review的program了。

发帖数: 2201 | 15 Call them, don't be shy. I emailed the director first but got no reply. Then
I called him. I don't remember if I caught him the first time or did I left
a message on his answer machine. But in the end I spoke with him and
clarified some doubt on his mind, and finally he changed his opinion and
accepted my white paper.
Be aggressive and polite at the same time. If you want to talk more, you can
send me message.

school啊。要是十年内能去就爽了。夏大，皮大，什么的都没有低人一等啊，都有敬业
的faculty努力干活，千万别歧视。

我还真觉得大牛不认出处和地方。真见过不少做得超级好的，因为个人喜好特别的地方
和当地环境，选择在普通人认为的非牛校。我以后说话得注意一点了～～
