My buddy and I headed out from Colorado Springs at 5:15am, arrived at the
lower trailhead of Mt. Antero at 8am.
We continued to drive up the dirt road. The road condition was extremely bad
driver; I would not have the guts to drive crazily on the edge of my life.
It seems no end of the dirt road. We already cheated more than we expected,
so we decided to let our 4runner take a break and hike the rest of the route

We met MayWhite couple at 6:45am at the lower trailhead, reached the upper
trailhead at 7:15am. The route left is 6.5 miles round trip and 3.25 miles
one way.
The first 1.25 miles was normal, however the next 2 miles became rather
rocky. I did my best to stay on the trail but still lost the track after a
while. I felt a little panic for a moment struggling with those loose rocks
just by my own. I told myself it is only level two and I should have no

发帖数: 617 | 11 搜一下Mt. Antero gems就出来一大堆.去年我的同伴下山时一个劲东张西望,搞得我们
下山花的时间比上山还长,当然我们什么也没找到. Tree line附近有好几个帐篷,据说
是夏天常驻淘宝的,有的还带枪,搞得跟一百年前似的. Denver的Nature & Science
Museum有展出Antero找到的Aquamarine. 还听说若干年前有位阿里巴巴在那找到了一个
山洞,里面全是Aquamarine,一下子大发了.
所以下次去别尽呆在山顶吹风, 也许眼睛一亮就可以提前退休了:)
