in the opening hand. So if 2/1, I plan to bid 1NT then pass 2C/2D response.
If sayc, this hand could be dangerous. I would pass.

partner's 2C response, and raise 2D to 3D as a preempt as oppo rate to have at
least 8-card S fit. This normally does not show an invitation as you have a
stronger 2S (impossible S) rebid. If partner rebids 2H you pass. If partner
rebids 2N, you sign off 3D. If he reverses to 2S, my preference is to play
lebensohl style: 2N relay to 3C, and you bid 3D to sign off.

Your solution is complete, but I 'd rather pass.
It's not likely we have a super-fit in minor enough to make a game.
Even it is the case, I know opps will surely keep the bidding alive
because of my short spades. Yes, you may not be able to enter the
bidding later after 1(2)S-3S by opps. On the other hand, you may
be able to bid diamond safely on 2 level, and avoid the nasty
problem of 1H-1NT-2S-?. My experience is whatever you bid now, chances
are that you are going to get a minus.

to the right partial is. If the bidding went 1H-P-P-1S-P-2S, what are you
gonna do?? You may have 9 card D fit and 3D is the par, or u may have only 7D
fit and 2H would even be too high. And in either case they make 2S.
If you don't know how to stop facing a jump to 2N or reverse, then this
example shows you need to.

"belong" to your side I think. in that case, he may take some action after
1S. Since your RHO didn't bid, he might be either too weak to bid or
have a heart stack. Three level usually belongs to opps, so if they bid

it's safer to do so, especially in lieu of oppo's likely fit. When was the
last time your were doubled in 2M with no oppo intervention and collected
-500? When was the last time you were hacked when you tried to balance and
collected sticks and wheels?
If you pass, it's hard to imagine pd will ever compete again, holding length
in S. And as I said, it would be too dangerous to compete on 3 level. So
