，估计两年的项目也就是半个r-21的金额。大家觉得这样的经历对以后在美国或者回国
申请faculty职位有用处吗？ |

发帖数: 2109 | 3 没有特别大的直接意义，因为到你找工作的时候，PhD时的东西已经是太久远的事情了。
但是如果你能拿到，Postdoc应该就更容易找到好的组，所以对找工作还是有间接的好
处的。
而且写几个Proposal练手总不是坏事。
所以确实是everything counts。 |

secure. If you could get an HHMI fellowship, it would be very beneficial
for all those things you just mentioned. However, if you have to invest so
much time on a grant that is remotely close to that level, you may not have
enough credential to graduate on time. I think a general rule of thumb is,
give yourself 3-4months to write it up and make it up on weekends or after
hours to make sure you are still making progress with your thesis project.

PhD期间，最主要的还是技术学习储备。因为老板们招博士后以及工业界招人，主要都
是看能不能很快上手干出活来。
博士后期间，如果想走学术道路，要注意fungding申请经历。因为将来人家招PI要看你
能不能拿到funding。如果博后期间决心以后要去工业界，那技术和知识储备还是比申
请funding经历重要的多，作课题的时候就尽量多接触和使用各种技术。可以的话，试
验中可设计一些试验用到其他时髦技术，然后说服老板同意花钱让你你去做。

大提高你在其他申请中的竞争能力。我觉得读博士的时候，紧量多得奖，特别是学术会
议上。多参加各种活动，组织活动什么的，对于未来都有好处。 |

触各种和你职业规划相关的东西，it'll open your mind. 再说这个事情，不会有什么
坏处。
有人说薄厚时期申请项目更重要，这没错，可你薄厚老板不支持怎么办？趁现在有机会
，抓住，你会比你的peers想的更多，看得更远。
