Deadline: Oct. 1, 2011
Description:
The Optical Imaging Lab at the University of Michigan Department of
Radiology is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill a position of
Postdoctoral Research Fellow (or Visiting Professor). This position will
provide research and training opportunities for engineers or scientists
interested in medical imaging and biophotonics. Primary research could be
related to any areas in optical and/or ultrasonic imaging, such as
photoacoustic imaging, OCT, confocal microscopy, endoscopy, etc. Other
possible research areas include, but are not limited to, the development and
application of novel quantitative functional and molecular imaging
modalities employing optical and ultrasonic technologies and contrast agents
. Some specific tasks of the position may involve design, construction and
experimentation with imaging prototypes, design and testing of ultrasonic
and optical imaging systems, development and testing of optical and
ultrasound contrast agents, and performance of animal and human imaging
