我生活在加州，有两个小孩，一个6岁（健康小孩），一个4岁（4岁的在上学校提供的
特殊小孩的学前班服务）。我的老大是健康的孩子，我经历着健康小孩的妈妈，和有特
殊需要的小孩的妈妈两段不同的历程。
对于健康宝宝的家长， 孩子带来的快乐和喜悦， 就象一场盛宴， 让人目不暇接，流
连忘返。
而对于我们来说， 孩子给我们带来的， 就象一杯茶， 有点苦， 有点涩，刚开始的时
候还非常烫， 真不知道怎么能喝下去。 可是慢慢的， 时间久了，这杯茶让我们体验
到了人心的柔软和厚重。当你知道你的孩子被诊断为ASD的时候，你忽然觉得你的孩子
死去了，不是那个肉体离去了，而是你心目中那个未来的孩子，那个和家人，朋友谈笑
中孩子的将来。我们别无选择，抱着我们的心爱的孩子，有如在惊涛骇浪中的溺水者，
明知道一块小小的木板并不能让人摆脱困境， 但是有了哪怕是渺茫的希望， 也能给
我们挣扎下去的勇气

当的special education。
Special education很多是针对孩子的具体情况进行针对性教育，一般而言是对孩子很
有利的。但某些教育方案有潜在负面影响，家长要做好功课，权衡利弊。
Special education最坏的情况是孩子需要special education，但家长怕label或要面
子，排斥special education，结果害了孩子一辈子。我身边就有这样的例子。
另一种情况是孩子处于边缘状况，可以不用special education，这时special
education还是对孩子有帮助的，只是效果可能不大或不明显。这时就要多考虑可能的
负面影响 - 主要是孩子的心理方面和社交方面。心理方面要防止孩子因为special
education产生自卑感和被抛弃感，社交方面是要避免孩子因为special education而被
孤立。这些都是对学龄儿童而言的。对学龄前儿童来说这些负面影响要小些。

儿子三岁的时候医生诊断delay development，自闭，然后我们就home educate，然后
ABA specialist来帮助有一年多了，进步非常快，英语也能对话了，portty training
也ready了，总之各方面都进步了，除了socila skills。他跟家里人很talktive，但是
跟别人尤其是小朋友，不知道怎么交流，也不主动跟他们说话。
现在他5岁，应该上幼儿园了，我今天去报名，提到了special edu的事情，报名的人告
诉我有两个选择，一是等去了正常幼儿园发现不能适应以后再要求学区评估然后再move
到special班；二就是现在就去评估看是上正常班还是special班。

完结。也许是在美待长了，总觉得 special 的含义比“特别”
更深。其实每个人从呱呱落地，就开始感受到 being special
的重要，父母的目光，在父母温暖的怀抱他们心跳带来的安稳
感觉。若失去那份父母眼里 special 的感觉，这种缺憾是幼
小心灵不能承受的。随着年龄的增长，这种需要感觉 special
的范围扩展了,从街坊邻居认可你的不同一般,到老师同学眼里
的特别的你，。。。其实这些只是你自己内心感觉 special
的衡量。对于少数人，special 自然天成，甚或成了苦恼的负
担。但对于大多数人，则需要付出努力来证明自己来世一遭并
不只是芸芸众生里的一员。每个人用着自己的方式证明着，也
在不知不觉塑造着自己，发现着自己。无论是期望自己能做一

发帖数: 22 | 18 以前上过family care, 中文的preschool,美国人的preschool. 最早的family care和
最后的美国人的preschool都没有太大问题，虽然也是不听指令，老师讲课的时候，他
不怎么听，玩自己的，但是问他问题都知道，就是不愿做作业，写字，手不是很灵活，
涂颜色经常在外面。但老师也不太care,也挺耐心的，经常鼓励他，让他帮老师干点活
，发了午饭，玩具什么的。他挺高兴，也挺配合。老师也说过他的注意力的问题，让我
们找医生或专家看看。
中间的中文preschool是个惨痛的经历。老师天天抱怨，因为他们上课一定要坐的规规
矩矩，一大堆的作业手工，从早到晚就是上课，我儿子就经常满地乱走，或乱涂乱画一
气。老师经常time out他，一time out他就哭。每天都不happy.
最后我们也担心他这样上学不行，就送他到学区preschool的special class.在那里也
没有什么问题，而且我们觉得进步很大，可以安静的挺故事，描字。这样半年后，要上

向北滩一样，我也作了一些RESEARCH。在我曾经和现在生活过的几个州当中，多年以来
，从来都是如果经济不好要砍教育经费，就两者一起砍（这一点和加州可能不同）。但
是有一点相同之处，就是州政府不会在几个项目的教育经费当中，做拆东墙补西墙的事
情。砍掉的教育经费，一般是用作他途，或者填补财政赤字。北滩自己也提到，加州
GIFTED PROGRAM被削减，但是没有被挪用到SPECIAL ED上，她只说SPEICAL ED的经费

力不集中，不能follow direction,有时out of control,控制不住情绪。没有什么治疗
。评估什么的都是免费的。就是她非让我们去special class。我们不是因为评估，
special class花钱而不愿去。
因为我们觉得我儿子一直在进步，可能以前开化的晚点，但总是一点一点变好。老师也
都说他很聪明，上课讲的东西都知道，虽然看上去他没有听课，在一边玩。
但是就是在人多的时候，经常很兴奋，有点控制不住自己。在家里都挺好。而且他很多
好朋友都是在正常的preschool时交的。现在也经常playdate,周末的时候一起出去玩。
相反在special program的preschool就没有什么朋友。那里的孩子的情况比我儿子要严
重的多。很多家长都是老莫，有很多孩子，可能也不在乎。
我们在special class里还看到以前我儿子在中文preschool时的一个小孩，他在这个
special class里已经两年了，可还是和以前一样，从不说话。这也是一个原因。 |

我用过special education的服务，个人体会是想花county的钱很难很难， 除非你的孩
子问题很严重，没有争议的残疾， 那些孩子需要花很多钱接受全方位的服务让他们活
得有尊严。这个我觉得花费大也不能算浪费。 special education肯定有被滥用的，但
绝大部分不是被家长，而是被商业的service provider. program提供服务不可能都是
老师自己上， 会出钱请专业的， 那些收钱很吓人。 我们用过一周一次speech
therapy， 半小时收 $125， 自己有保险需要提供信息， county先报保险， 保险不包
county再付。 我们一周就用了半小时服务，但保险和county花费都不小。 speech

BTW, your case is not called "partial specialization". partial

December. I have stayed with them before using this same service and that is
why I am on the mailing list. Anyways, these rates look pretty cheap. I
have stayed in both the Junior Suite's and the Two Bedrooms and they are

重申一下，我不敢说special ad 资源没有被滥用的现象，也支持监管。但是，我反对
某著名ID在毫无证据的情况下对special children的家长进行攻击，也反对为了达到攻
击家长的目的, 在版上煽动general ad和special ad孩子家长的对立。
如果某著名ID一开始就说SERVICE PROVIDER可能滥用资源，而不是恶意揣测special
children家长的动机，一开始就不会有这些争论。
她说：
“当然不排除有些家长, 为了自己孩子有不花钱的私教, 并不着急孩子进步.”
“很多家长并不见得害怕自己孩子贴标签。”
“孩子能有一对一的家教，自己能省点儿看孩子的力气，孩子能去好学区，还有车接车
送，为啥不啊？还有些家长本身就喜欢与众不同，标新立异的，孩子太正常了，反而觉
得生活太平淡呢”
凭什么这么说这些家长，有证据吗？
还有，如果“有人举出了实例”是指“家长拿政府给special family的钱请保姆来家里
打杂”，我想至少了解一下这是哪个州哪个城市，然后自己打个电话问问，到底他们会
不会直接发钱给需要帮助的家庭。 |

这个有很多想法啊. 这个SPECIAL EDUCATION里面的程度也是不一样的. 就是自闭来讲,
有重度自闭, 可能一生都不可能有正常的生活, 也有比较轻的ASD, 经过一些干预, 就
可以正常生活了.
这个就要看SE内部经费的分配了. 是所有的SE都有一定的帮助, 还是优先比较严重的.
如果所有的SE的孩子都要有照顾, 那末ASD的人数增加,必然分到比较严重的CASE的就不
会太多. 大家也看到了, 严重的CASE得到的帮助可能远远不够. 比较轻的ASD, 因为需
要的治疗少, 即使经费有限,可能正常的可能性很高. 所有如果采用每个SE的孩子都有
一些的策略, 会比较有利于比较轻度的ASD的孩子.
如果优先比较严重, 按照严重程度来分. 可能严重的CASE得到的帮助比较多, 很多轻度
的ASD可能根本不QUALIFY这个SPECIAL EDUCATION的资助, 这个楼里好象也有这样的家
长. 这样的孩子就直接进入现在的正常孩子的系统. 但是现在正常孩子的教育经费CUT,

ray on BestBuy.com. Lo and behold, there are 2 listings of the same title
but one of them has the wrong title for Death Proof Blu-ray for $9.99 on
sale ($29.99 regular price). I went ahead ordered 2 copies with in-store

everyday price too.
Remington UMC 38 Special +P 125 gr. semi-jacketed hollow points, 100 count

还是 a Special Warranty Deed？
我打算从邻居那里购买一套single-family house,从版上考古得知deed的类型分 a
General Warranty Deed 和 a Special Warranty Deed，而且好像貌似a General
Warranty Deed 比 a Special Warranty Deed要好。可否请教：我该怎么才能清楚邻居
这套房子的deed是属于a General Warranty Deed 还是 a Special Warranty Deed呢？

标 题: 公立学校不想接收需要special education的孩子

小孩今年5岁了，夏天买的房子, 在现在的学区9月初注册了。孩子阅读数学都不错，接
受些social和speech的service.现在在一个私立上K(以pre-K为主，K不是太正规).
可是问题来了，从九月初注册，到这个学区安排evaluation,（之前的学区evaluation
他们不承认），到开家长会（CSE meeting）， 到给出推荐的program花了3个多月，实
际上到现在四个月过去了问题还没有解决，孩子的还是一直在私立带着。主要问题是：
1. 学区根据评估的结果（主要是注意力不集中，不social, 有时不follow
directions），结论是孩子不适合现在他们学区的programs, 所以给推荐了别的学区的

说是注意力不集中，不能follow老师direction.
这个special class就我们这个学区有。我们住的不是什么好区。我有个朋友，她女儿
比我儿子大一岁，上课也是乱走，有时就躺在地上，打小朋友。老师是complain,但从
没有要求他们去什么special class.他们是在好区。据说也没有这样的special class.
但那里的房租太贵了。 |
