用木头容易标准化，2by4, 4by4,买来一堆，很容易操作。
修理时也容易，去home depot按规格买就行。
而且木头板材中间很容易布置管线。
木头的好处：标准化，材质轻，内部容易布线，容易remodel。
木头易于加工，各种规格都有，handyman最喜欢。 |

half bathroom向车库扩展一部分出去. 现在见了两个contractor, 都说拆墙之内的需
要专业engineer评估.有他们的确认才能向town里申请permit.
不过一个contractor说他会给我们engineer的联系方式,让我们自己联系.一般这个评估
的收费大概要500刀; 另一个说他来处理这个评估,一般这是那些engineer的service的
一部分, 不需要单独付费.
有过拆墙经验的大侠们说说你们是怎么找专业人士来评估拆墙工程的? 要专门付费吗? |

我们厕所的面积是5x10，只有tub+shower，没有单独的shower。
一：vanity.54"。材料是quartz。连工带料代拆旧欢新680。相当于你这几项吧。
• Remove existing pedestal sink
• Remove existing faucet
• New 30” vanity and cabinet
• Install new marble tub with drain and faucet
（不明白你为什么喜欢marble，那玩意中看不中用，很容易stain，久了还漏水）。
二：浴缸四周墙壁拆旧换新，人工300，厕所地面拆旧换新350。
材料另算400多吧(我们用了一些花砖,拦腰也加了一圈花砖,这种砖是论片买的).
相当于你这几项.

bathtub拿掉，做成一个较大点的showerroom， 中国人用bathtub的次数也较少， 换成
showerroom 空间比较大，不会憋屈。
contractor 建议我们不要这样做，因为换成showerroom，理论上就不是full bath 了
，变成3/4 bathroom了； 我另外一个顾虑是变成showerroom后，可能造成leakage
problem， 因为水流面积变大。
第一次买房装修，完全没头绪，想听听各位业主的意见建议，多谢了！ |
