发帖数: 2888 | 1 十月份重新投了，加了所有要求的实验，昨天刚拿到二审的消息。两个reviewers同意
发表，两个reviewers又提了2-3个问题，绝大问题都可以简单改改文章就可以解决，唯
一的一个实验的要求是要求提高病理切片图片的质量（似乎是很容易解决的，我们计划
让外面的service实验室帮我们做）。
考虑到reviewers都还好，有点奇怪的就是编辑给我们写的信，比较negative：

应该直接把新的推荐信寄过去就可以了吧，online的form已经无法改了。
学校不会因为你的referee的名字和online的对不上说你的材料不全吧，

match,根本找不到，有时候就是自己觉得很match了，也一样没有消息，连电面都不给
。最近一次有个面试的机会，可是觉得没什么戏了。告诉我3周以后给我消息，可是这
已经到时间了，发email过去，说还得一周。而且问了referees,大家都说根本没有人联
系他们，可是当时面试结束那个人特意强调说要referee 的，真是不知道他们壶里买的
是什么药。
本来觉得平时大家都可以和老板交流的，结果轮到我，告诉老板面试的事情之后，他就
态度很不好，经常问我工作进展，而且跟你交流是那种挺mean的方式，心里很烦，怎么
就觉得老板有歧视呢，不想干了，可是裸归又觉得这些年白混了，没有钱，没有工作，
觉得自己是loser了。 |

一家是onsite之后不止一次给referee发邮件update自己的opt状态，每次都及时答复，
最近一次是说hiring manager出差了，还抄给了hiring manager，但后来就没有动静的
，这算是默拒么？问题是之前一直都是so far so good，onsite评价也挺不错。。。。
另一家是onsite之后说有个leader出差，还需要补一轮电面，9月初电面，该leader（
中国人）当面说的“对你很满意”，然后就没有下文了，包括update自己opt状态的邮
件也不见referee回。HR也不回，这也算是默拒么？
感觉真是郁闷，怎么会连续碰到两家这样的。。。

一般可以发个信给editor，把publication附在后面，以及可以审稿的
方向加上相应的PACS, 要求editor把你加入到Referee的list里就可以了
有些杂志，你注册了，把你的信息，包括特长以及相应的PACS填完整了
自动就会把你的账号加入Referee的list，不需要再给editor发信
比如IOP系列的杂志 |

这postdoc的薪水否。回信告知其薪水不是问题，回曰要move forward。
第二天马上就从一比较铁的推荐人那里得知他开始联系我的推荐人，并在email里说我
是“potential hire"（我之前还没有进行任何面试。）

都是必备之物，但最最重要的，却只是简简单单三个字：早动手。一要早，越早越好，
不管是NIW还是EB1，二要动手，尽量别拖。pueplewolf本人2006年5月联系律师办NIW，
6月底140就递到TSC了，这其中有自己说干就干的因素，也有律师工作神速的缘由 ：）
。半年后140批准，2007年7月挤在大潮中递了485，从此就像冬眠的蛤蟆，死等~~~ 尽
管后来找到公司，心中总是觉得快了快了，懒得弄EB1。结果就是被USCIS一而再，再而
三，三而四，士可杀。。。唉，到头来，还是按耐不住，花了1000刀PP。所以，能上

本想等我弄完I-485后再来折腾这些东西的。但这两天收到好多来自申友的、要求给材料的短信，也能体会到大家与我当时一样的心情。所以，就先把letter templates整理下下，并更新在这个贴子后面了。有留下email地址的申友，我已把letter templates发到你的信箱里，请查收。至于还未留email地址，就请不要再给我留email地址了，直接在本贴后面拷就是了。（当然，如果是想给俺包子的话，俺是会张大口袋接的 ---- 俺也想ZAN点儿，等GC到手后，发几个给曾经帮助过我的前辈们，：）

能写，只有两三个有些contact的愿意写，其余的愿意写的就全是dependent的了。如何
说服完全不认识的人愿意帮你写推荐信？我们专业很小，我怕在联系下去没有太多合适
的推荐信人选了。现在想再找两三个independent referees，使推荐人的洲际分布更均
匀些。

2. When it is close to an offer, tell them (your next boss and the HR/
international office of your new place) you need a J-1 transfer from your
current place. The new HR/international office will start the J-1 transfer

到今年底，我和我目前的大学博士后合同到期。需要重新找工作。
从去年开始，前前后后至少咨询了5个律师。一个不愿意现在接，让我先集中精力找好
下一份工作，再准备绿卡事宜。两外2个白人律师没有时间和我FOLLOW UP.
目前有2个中国律师觉得我的实力虽然弱，但是可以一试，不试怎么知道就不成呢？他
们都有在MITBBS上做广告。FILE 1-140，第一个收费5000美刀，这个律师来过我们学校
做宣讲。第二个律师收费4000美刀，参加过他们的网络会议。
我该不该现在申请绿卡呢？怎么选律师呢？ |
