Anyone here plays RAZZ? Like to share some helping tips?
I played not many hands (I am trying to learn. not found lower table).
Except one unlucky hand (23456 beaten by 12345 at river with allin).
The others are not good play, or at least not commfy play.
Good thing is the loss is covered by PLO H/L 10/25. |

I used to play razz. I read all the info I can find. A few chapters here and

hi and razz sit n go tourneies (18 and 9 players) during the weekend...
too late by the time when i realized i had been dealt more than 2 cards, LOL
...
i have to believe there's such thing called beginner's luck, after i won
both of them.
not really that complicated when you have good cards, googling at the same
time for rules, unreasonable donkey calls/bets/raises, low skilled opponents
...
time to play HORSE now? hehe |

HOSE even they got enough people on list.
O is hi/lo there and tourment mostly is Pot limit Hi, I think the game
required most maths among all games. There are times you should laydown the
nut on flop for heavy actions. Probanly getting freerolled by split hand
plus redraws.

Ye you are right. And player at position bluff a lot. I caught one with
my Ten Hi against his trasher.
I played 7Games and STUD HI at the same time. These two at lower level(10/25
) and goes ok (tiny gain, not to compensate time). Just to learn. |

the game switch, especially when they change from PLO to O8, Razz to Stud,
or Stud to Stud8. Sometimes I was multitabling and didnt realize the switch
and made some funny mistakes.
Hand 1: I raised with a deuce and ran into A/K etc. Lots of actions. Then I
realized: Shit! It is not Razz anymore. When did they switch to Stud? Anyway, maybe the desperate me can still
bluff representing a set.

Like to try new games, such as PLO. Anyone has similar intention.
I saw the biggies (DURRRR, Phil Ivey etc) playing 7-game ring games. Find else only know NLH. Aha, there is so much else to learn. Learning is fun.
Any recommendation on book on PLO? I order Harrington V-2/3 recently. I am
lagging in self-learning. It took over 1 month to finish Harrrington V-1. |

发帖数: 1989 | 30 I picked up a 5-game tourney. Buy-in, 1$. Just to practice. 10Min/Level.
It went all well, after two cycles(10 levels), that I found I am
at top 10. Then, later, the game switched from Stud HI to Razz. I was not
aware of that. I picked up two pairs and cbet all streets down(there are
5 streets. BB=1000), and lost 3/4 of total chips. hhahah. Funny to find
out why I did not win. Almost hit money line.
Another lesson is learned. |

And preflop, you need memorize how many aces or low cards show up. For
example, if you have duece, and saw another duece shows up, then your pair
up deuces chance are low.
Similarly, if you do not have duece, however, two dueces show up preflop,
then your chance to catch up duece is slimer.
In later position, if you have akt, k28, ACE or deuce face up, you can
steal the pot by potting it preflop.

wsop , you will find out how popular it is now. During 2008 Wsop, I played a
lots of 5/10 NL in Rio , by then , on middle-high stakes game, it is like
half NLHE, half other games(PLO,mixed etc). But during WSOP 2010, there is
only 4-5 tables for NLHE over 10-25 limit, all other tables are PLO and

holdem一步步过来的，所以什么都会。第二种就是线上最高额的那批人，因为对手太少
，为了有人玩只好什么都玩。但是第二种人的stud和limit holdem会明显短板。
在WSOP任何一个比赛能打到决赛水平都不一般。但是，在这种高额买入的游戏当中，有
钱是一个巨大的优势。就像去年的big one for one drop，我记得FT也是富商pro一半
一半，但这并不说明那些富商就比被淘汰的pro厉害。
如果打NL1k，小周毫无疑问能打爆版上的所有人。但是如果玩NL100，其实就比较难说
了。至于说什么phil galphond自称holdem对小周没优势，这个真只能骗骗没有见过他
打牌的人。而且，小周从去年年中开始好像参加了很多重要live tournament，进个决
赛桌也算正常吧。 |
