So what is this NOS? Actually it is another modification on car engin
that is mean to dramatically increase the horsepower.
NOS is the street name for Nitrous Oxide, ie, N2O. Yeah, as you know,

NOS can great increase horsepower because:
1)It provides lots of oxygen for the engin to burn. N2O -> N2 + O2
2)As it changes from the compressed liquid form into gas, it absorbs
a great deal of heat. So it super-cooled the engine. As the engin
become so cool, the air/fuel mixture is much denser than they used
to be, which means even more stuff to burn!
3)Also as NOS gets out of its fire extinguisher like container, the pressure
is very so high it can be over 1000 psi! This works simil |

However, if you take a closer look at those data, basically they all boiled
down to the horsepower of the engine (and maybe a little bit of transmission

well, I found that the size of engine of '99 camry
is smaller than my '96 camry. also, 97 and later camry
use DOHC engine, I doubt whether 96 camry has such engine.
the horsepower of 97 and later is 13 horsepower bigger
than the old generation.
I admit the sound insulation of the old generation
may be better, but the nature noise from the engine of
newer generation is smaller. Some magazine judge
the newer generation of camry as the best car ever
built in usa.

发帖数: 97 | 44 做个xc60和x3纸上谈兵的数据比较，看看哪个车有所谓的性价优势。因为我选的是xc60 T6，所以x3也只能拿35i来比，28i不是Turbo的。首先说明的是我没去真正开过x3。本来也确实是计划内的，但开完xc60 3.2L和T6后，对T6很满意，所以就懒了，不想折腾了。比较时xc60的数据在前，数据都是从网上quote的。弄错了的地方欢迎大家指点，但还是客气点比较好。
首先比较价格，两款车都有各种options。如果是裸T6和35i比，sticker price –2k。xc60多了天窗，尽管这玩意不是每个人都想要。如果按我选的xc60算，大概是-3.5到4k。加上额外的tax，financing（目前volvo是1.9%，不知道BMW能讲到多少），和negotiable room（从truecar.com上，xc60可以-3k sticker price / -1k factory invoice，实际可以更多一点，我目前是-1.5k左右。x3是-2.5k sticker price / +500 factory invoice ，实际情况不清楚。对于我这个options选项而言，... 阅读全帖 |

N52和现在ACCORD V6比，如果看马力和Torque数字。
Torque: 200 ft-lbs. @ 2750 rpm
Horsepower: 230 hp @ 6500 rpm
Torque: 254 ft-lbs. @ 5000 rpm
Horsepower: 271 hp @ 6000 rpm
如果大家舍得轰到红线，并且在直线RACE的话，ACCORD V6恐怕可以KILL 328i。不过如
果STREET Race的话，N52的那个200 ft-lbs. @ 2750 rpm杀伤力也很厉害的。 |
