多伦多地区百年庆祝筹备委员会秘书长郑伟志28日指出，多伦多侨胞原已打算于28日晚间，与来自北美的圣火会合。 但在绕境专车内，却因携带有合法美国牌照的枪枝，而遭加拿大海关拒绝入境，主要是因对加国法律认知疏忽所致，故绕境专车已退返美国境内，之后也将转往底特律。
该辆长约35呎的圣火专车，自5月12日自加州出发，原定探访美加30个城市，以专车带着圣火方式，展开北美地区圣火万里绕境活动，为庆祝中华民国100年，并在沿途传播宣扬台湾的民主自由成果。

主修历史和哲学的王子龙来自内蒙古包头，今年5月毕业于麻萨诸塞州罕布什尔学院（Hampshire College），骑车横跨美国的念头在他心里酝酿了一年，准备了两个月，终于在6月9日踏上圆梦之旅。
「一路上酷暑严寒，狂风暴雨都经历了。其实踏出第一步，就发现开始一段旅程并不是那么难。」王子龙随身带上锅碗瓢盆、睡袋和一套换洗的衣服，踩着单车出发了，每天平均骑车70英里，用了两个半月的时间，花了不到3000元，横跨美国，骑车里程达3400英里。他沿途累了，就到路经的民宅敲门借宿，醒来就继续旅程。

据麻省当地媒体“宪报网”(Gazett Net)报道，王维朗的律师约翰?康纳(John Connor)表示，听到判决，这名19岁的男孩非常兴奋。王维朗的母亲和姨妈特意从中国来到美国支持他。康纳表示，王的母亲和姨妈都不懂英语，根本无法理解庭审的内容，只能求助翻译。

形形色色，这对外来的人来说，是相当不容易搞清楚的。以枪械法令来说，在纽约州，各
式各样的半自动步枪并不列入管制，但是在纽约市，就完全是另一回事了，半自动步枪如
果有以下的一样特徵，就属于非法：
突出的手枪把，
弹匣容量超过五发，
防火帽，
刺刀座，
榴弹发射器，
有节上护盖，
折合式枪托，
按照这个规定，所有的M16，M14，AK，SKS类型步枪都属于非法。
同一州尚且如此，何况是别的地方。所以要谈枪械管制，必须要先讲清楚是那一个州。
一般来说，东北部管的比较严，可是也有例外，像缅因州(Maine)，新罕布什尔州(New
Hampshire)就很松。中西部管的比较松，可是也有例外，芝加哥(Chicago)从一九八六年
起，不允许私人拥有手枪，号称无枪市。那才是个大笑话，芝加哥的黑社会，人人有枪，
连十岁小孩都有枪，是美国枪械犯罪最严重的都市之一。最近那些政客又异想天开，认为

state income tax。唯一比较接近的是New Hampshire和Alaska. Alaska对某些特定的
东西也是征收sales tax的。 NH没有sales tax, 但是去饭馆吃饭要交8%的meals tax，
而且要对interest和dividend income征收state income tax. 工资之类的属于earned

Columbia requires that motorists carry some form of auto insurance. There is
currently one state that allows motorists to drive without an automobile
policy which is New Hampshire, although residents in Virginia will be
allowed to pay a $500 Uninsured Motor Vehicle (UMV) fee at the time of
registration rather than choosing to purchase liability coverage. |
