Entity Framework DATA MODEL放到VISUAL STUDIO里面，具体ENTITY的PHYSICAL
TABLE怎么存储的，TABLE之间的RELATIONSHIP人不管的，MODEL直接进入编程，
由DEVELOPER来控制，这样编程就方便灵活了很多，基本可以撇开DBA和DATA ARCHITECT，
没有数据和PHYSICAL TABLE也可行进行编程，有了TABLE之后再去MAPPING
一说ENTITY，就是抽象的东西，放到DATABASE就变成TABLE和VIEW
放到PROGRAMMING里就是CLASS。 |

database (that maps to part of your back end database). It is very "
heavyweight" so you'd better consider other approaches first. It's still
useful in some situations, for example, when you do "bulk" operations.
Linq is a very important language feature that you will use everyday. But if
you mean "Linq to Sql", then ignore it. You have Entity Framework now.

performance is "shocking". With "raw" ADO.NET, the page loads in seconds;
and with Entity Framework approach, it takes more than 1 minutes...
Maybe and hopefully I am using Entity Framework in an "incorrect" way. |

to consolidation under FIN 46 and therefore is a VIE.
可是接下去又说，If that group as a whole would not be the primary
beneficiary, the reporting entity is not required to consolidate the
financial results of the VIE into its financial statement.

but I still believe it comes down to how well the underline databases
are designed rather than which ORM you use. |

no team inside M$ is working on it. L2S still works in your application but
there will be no further development.
M$ is trying to push developers to use Linq to Entities instead of Linq to
Sql. I know neither in details so I cannot tell how different they are.
Are you sure M$ will release Linq to Oracle if it is not already available?

If you just need a quick dirty CRUD DB w/o considering of performance,
you can use Entity Framework or any other ORMs. If you do care about
performance, you have to start from designing a sound DB. |

user table有个ID field
product table 有个 UserID field, 是user id的foreign key
现在有个database的entities object,比如 _entities
User user = _entities.Users.First(u=>u.ID == 1)
list user.Products
这时有另外一个连接对数据库操作，删除了user 1的一个product
但如果对原先的 _entities 再运行代码
user = _entities.Users.First(u=>u.ID == 1)
返回的user.Products collection还是原来的，删掉那个还在，试了refresh user
object也没有用。
求高手指点！谢谢！ |

disposing the context instance by "using" could help to reduce the DB load

Also the db schema is quite complicated due to the history and some wierd
requirements. It cannot be cahnged :-)
My question is about joint table(maybe it shouldn't be called joint table).
for example, table A has many-many relationship with table B, a joint table
mapping this relationship also has a column to specify the relation type,
which is many-one to the relation type table.
