标 题: F1全奖返签被拒，做cryptology的，请大家帮帮忙，看还能做什么？

和我一年来的中国人，暑假回国开会，f1全奖返签被拒了，请大家帮忙，尤其有经验的
，帮忙想想办法。
我同学的情况是，CS开学第四年了，导师做security的，他自己做RFID cryptology的
。之前转校过来的，不知道是不是问题。而且他好像还被FBI随机抽查过，具体怎么回
事还要请大家有经验的人给说说。上海返签的，先是check，之后就被拒了，给的
reason是Section 212(a)(3)(a)(1)。他同组也有比我们小一届的中国人，做privacy的
，返签被check就通过。

豁免的，而且项目对non-citizen参加没有限制，而且还鼓励distribution，实验室也
没有non-citizen不能接触的东西。

早在1949年，中国人民解放军就在洛阳建立了外语学院，作为培养国防语言人才的摇篮
。现在洛阳“解放军外语大学”已经培养了5万多名毕业生，担负起军事翻译、军事外
交、国际反恐、联合国维和行动等各项工作。从该校的课程设置可知，这是一所培训(
能破解密碼的)多种语言人才的军事情报学府。

Why do so many Chinese study physics and math relative to Americans?
The answer may be similar to why Germans, Swiss and Danes studied physics
and math, relative to Americans, prior to WWII.
That being, a long history of intellectual cultures in those other countries
and the lack of one here.
It is hard to be a cowboy and a physicist simultaneously.

has died — the second midshipman death in two weeks.
David Forney, 22, was found unresponsive Thursday in Bancroft Hall, the
Naval Academy said in a statement posted on the school Facebook page. After

The chapters begin with number 2, then 3, I thought it was an error first,
then 5, 7, and I knew:)
I like the way the boy described prime numbers. He said that they are like
life. Logical but one can never work out the rules. He also said that prime
numbers are useful for codes. Anybody knowledgable about cryptology knows why?
Is it because prime numbers are good for choosing hash table size? |

"Digital Fortress" from the same author. The story revolves
around cryptology, but the author obviously didn't do his homework.
The mistakes are so glaring that when he put those words into
the mouths of the supposedly smart and competent main characters,
it totally destroys the charaters for me (and I don't claim to
be an expert in that area, by any mean).

I know I can break the code if I have long enough
cipher text, but I am not sure what the probability to
correctly find out the key if some letters of the cipher text
are modified? Any math equations for that?

of security and applied cryptography. Thaey are totally different from
foundations of cryptology. The assumptions made by the areas are different. In
Foundations of Cryptography, people assume that there exists computational
intractibility to which we can reduce the hardness of attacking to the
cryptographic primitives. The recent studies on the Bounded Storage Model by
european people even made non compuational assumpt |
