Civil Unions actually have some strong and significant bipartisan support in
the Colorado legislature. Coloradans for Freedom, a group of prominent
Republicans, created quite a stir when they came out in favor of Civil Union
legislation. Republicans in Colorado, in many cases (especially in Denver)
are much more moderate than Washington D.C. counterparts. |

UNION。可以保证同性恋者民事结合和异性恋者的婚姻拥有同样的权利。同时又所谓的
不伤害传统婚姻的定义。我想这样的争论还会持续下去，婚姻和民事结合到底有什么不
同。我做了一点简单的功课， CIVIL UNION 和MARRIAGE有以下的不同
1. 移民权，民事结合的对象不拥有联邦政府所承认的移民权利，如果是和美国公民结
婚的话，拿绿卡时一件非常容易的事情。但是民事结合的伴侣，即使注册的话，也没有
任何途径可以移民。
2。免税权，民事结合的伴侣不享有免税的权力。仍然要以两个单身人士的名义报税。
每年至少要多付出几千，甚至上万的税收。
3. 福利权 异性婚姻的伴侣大概拥有 一千多项福利和保护，比如当年一方去世后，另
一方享有SOCIAL SECURITY的权利，当一方伴侣患重病时，可以申请SICK LEAVE照顾对
方的权利，退伍军人家属福利，以及和雇主申请能够覆盖对方家庭医疗保险。当一方伴
侣患重病的时候，能以家属的名义在治疗方案尚签字，甚至当一方去世后，是否能够得

我的基本情况：我在国内和美国都上过班，实际共四年。有EIT 无PE。civil
engineering 第三个 master’s degree刚毕业。
工作地区：Houston地区。希望结识Houston 及全国各地区的朋友。
salary：95k，刚接到。
谈点感想：
1. 想拿100k 不容易，需要有些真东西。实在没有就看文献。
2. 简历要写好，我的改了7遍。最初给我改简历的女士都烦了，后来索性就装作干
其他事情。但我无论如何都要再去。毕竟改简历是他们的工作。总之，学校career
center一定要好好利用。
3. 面试时间较短，感觉不好不重要。我这个面试两坏兼具。还有offer。很意外。
关键的应在对你的“thank you letter” 的反应。
4. 被小印歧视的事碰到太多了。这次屡次面试血淋淋的事实让我清醒。这个offer
是唯一一个面试的人里没小印的。相信大家明白我说的意思。我今后会能够帮老中就一
定帮老中。

觉得不平，回到宾州写信appeal被拒。
遂不理，今天又收到一封信说我过了两次default的deadline，加罚$25*2一共$125。还
说如果逾期不缴，a judgment will be filed against you in the Civil Court of

当然了，我有两个儿子替我科普些常识，平日里经常吹吹谁是谁的耳边风。娃大了一点
儿后的最近两三年呢，我的品味也是越来越商业化，去艺术片化，童真化，和以星战为
代表的超级粉化。
这些都貌似是欣赏此片的先行条件。但在acquire了这个taste之后呢，omg, civil war
堪称完美。
一，大结构上，主题完整和谐，构思巧妙自然，内容丰富厚重。civil war it is! 杀
人见血，名副其实。
二，小细节上，含蓄，有品。随便两三句对话，温柔中见血。刻画的功力深厚。很多桥
段居然有艺术片的感觉。
三，从超级fandom, geekdom 的层次上，厚厚，惊艳！spiderman, black pantha,

再说，我查了一下人家还是得到了优秀博士论文奖，这是全美洲（含美国加拿大墨西哥
以及整个南美）抗风工会大会的奖项，每四年一次，还是很难的。你可以查一查。
这说明论文质量还是很高的哦。不要老是盯作写了几篇。再说，土工学科需要大量的工
程应用和实践，而不是每天在爬格子。

I did a routine physical exam/blood test/TB with PCP last month.
Can I find a civil surgeion , show him my records and just get the i-693
form without doing another physical exam?

Your blood test needs to contain a test for RPR （梅毒）, not the regular
blood test, you can ask for your PCP to write another order.
Some civil surgeon accepts TB/Blood test done elsewhere, some don't, you
need to call to find out. |

MMR好像是要打两次的啊（除非你以前打过两次的话），否则在Civil Surgeon那里打的那一次
只有30天有效期（除非30天之内打第二次）。
我没有小黄本，之前打过一次MMR(十年以内），所以在Civil Surgeon那里总共也就打了MMR, Tetanus(or Tdap)还有抽血和Tuberculosis皮试。 |

take the results with you to the civil surgeon, who will sign the form. This
way, you'll save money if the civil surgeon doesn't take your insurance. |
