发帖数: 27 | 1 情况：我是h1b十月到美国，老婆10月底才到。之前都在国内，所以不满183天。
查了一下资料，主要是提示贴5里面说的，先延迟报税，然后有两种选择：
1）dual-status报税，也就是part-year resident-alien + part-year non-resident-
alien。但是只能夫妻单独报税，享受3950x2+6200刀的standard-deductable。收入只
要报10-12月的就可以了。
2）first-year-choice，好像只能算成full-year resident，于是要报全年收入，才能
夫妻联合报税，享受3950x2+12400的standard-deductable。
想问一下，是这样吗？
1）dual-status只能夫妻分开报税？？？
2）first-year-choice可以夫妻联合报税，但是是要报2014全年的收入吗？？？

发帖数: 12623 | 2 首先，你们本身是全年nonresident。你们不符合2014年的substantial presence test
，所以你们是2014年全年resident。
你们用first-year choice才能变成dual status。dual status不能用standard
deduction。
你们用first-year choice变成dual status之后再用choosing resident alien status
才变成全年resident。虽然resident要报全世界的收入，但是那些收入不一定征税，因
为可以用foreigh earned income exclusion。可以通过physical presence test（譬
如，2013年10月－2014年9月里有起码330天不在美国，所以这段时间的海外收入不用征
税）或bona fide residence test（你2013年全年是中国的bona fide resident，你
2014年开始9个月也是中国的bona fide resident，这9个月的海外收入不用征税）。 |

想问下，如果在这期间失去了H身份或者回中国待几个月，导致10月15号申报截止日之
前没有通过substantial presence test，但又在4月15号之前提交了first year
choice(为了FMJ)和延期报税，会有什么后果? |

设备： TMO iphone 5s. A1533
漫游： data roaming
信号强度：自动搜索会默认移动2G，人工搜索选联通3G。上次人说不是3G。特意查了t-
mobile说明，限速128kbps。
信号覆盖：基本覆盖上海及嘉定。
行使过程中，地铁1号线市中心战与站之间可能会暂时无法找到信号，其他几条线上某
些地方也可能无法找到信号。
我去过的上海偏远地方都有信号。
费用：免费。
wifi calling:很好用。
google hangout+google voice:能用。
text:很方便。
wechat voice call: 拨号方每次接通后的5-10秒，都无法听到对方说话。之后很好用
。一旦有新电话进来，wechat voice call就会被中断。

can cost a trick. On the other hand, any lead can be right for a hand. So
the purpose is to be correct a particular hand, but to get a better chance
based on the bidding and holding.
Previous posts showed different choices for club suit, but given your 2D bid

deductible after company contribution, tax saving,maximum out of pocket
limit) 都几乎没有任何区别。唯一的区别就是consumer choice plan可以用HSA (
health saving account) 而另外一个只能用FSA (flexible saving account), 前者可
以roll over, 后者不可以。所以这个并不是一个deal breaker.
我能不能麻烦你和我说一下，假如是同样的一个医生，对于同样一个病人，你是prefer
我拿一个PPO的计划还是一个普通的HMO/consumer choice plan的保险，你会有什么区
