I feel German's PhZ-2000 may be the best. For its firing rate is too
impressive,

2) in burst mode it can fire three rounds in 9 seconds, ten rounds in 56
seconds, and can fire between 10 and 13 rounds per minute. |

Type 88 is not a dedicated sniper rifle, and is not an anti-material rifle
The only common place between type 88 and M82 is they are both semi-auto.
For anti-personnel tasks, bolt-action rifles with calibers in .308, .300mag
and .338 are more commonly used, like M24 and M40.

你是对的。 虽然四条航母都沉了， 连带上面的 256架飞机。 但pilot 损失不大。
真正的损失是接下来的 Solomon Islands campaign。 包括这里所说的瓜岛战役。
也许，如果岛上有了机场，有了两个陆航联队， 那么对于日军， 情况会改善不少。
